It was a few months ago when I missed an important meeting with my academic advisor at university. The meeting was scheduled for 10:00 AM on a Monday morning. However, due to unexpected heavy traffic on the way to campus, I arrived nearly 20 minutes late.

What happened was that there was a sudden traffic jam caused by a road accident. Despite leaving home with plenty of time to spare, I found myself stuck in traffic with no way to move forward. Despite my frustration and anxiety, there was nothing I could do to change the situation.

I missed the meeting because of circumstances beyond my control. When I finally arrived at the university, I was flustered and embarrassed to be late. I immediately apologized to my advisor and explained the reason for my tardiness. Thankfully, my advisor was understanding and rescheduled the meeting for later that day.

This experience taught me the importance of planning ahead and accounting for unexpected events. While I felt disappointed and stressed about missing the meeting, I also learned the value of communication and owning up to my mistakes. Overall, it was a lesson in resilience and adaptability that I will carry with me in the future.
